Go Local Nebraska is not limited to Nebraska!

The excellent information available through the Go Local Nebraska directory [http://medlineplus.gov/nebraska ] can be found by anyone in the world, not just Nebraska citizens. To help illustrate the fact, one of the committee members took a Go Local Nebraska bag with them on a recent trip to the Gulf, taking pictures of it in each of the states they passed through. If anyone in those states (such as: family members of Nebraska citizens; people considering a move to Nebraska and looking for health care support; or people looking for potential places of employment in Nebraska) had a need for information on Nebraska health care providers, organizations, or support groups, they could have found their answer using Go Local Nebraska.

Promoting Go Local Nebraska to tomorrow's health care providers

Every two months, a group of about 20 third year medical students at the University of Nebraska Medical Center go on Primary Care rotation, usually in or around Nebraska. During their day-long orientation before heading out to their rotation sites, they learn about information resources available to them and the citizens that they will care for through the McGoogan Library of Medicine. Among the resources demonstrated: CHIRS and Go Local Nebraska.
If you know of health professional students in your area, please share with them about Go Local Nebraska. After all, one day we hope to have their practice indexed in it!
